WHY WE BELIEVE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE REQUIRED.

Please take time to read these terms and conditions (T&Cs), it is important for both of us that you understand our contractual relationship relating to your use of our website, social media channels and other customer interfaces.

 

HOW WE OPERATE

We operate to an agency model. This means that we act as an agent for third party suppliers, such as a hotel or a golf course. What this means is that the contract for the product is between you and the supplier. In most cases this will mean that there are additional T&Cs governing the contract as each supplier will have T&Cs relating to that product or service.

Please make sure that you have read these T&Cs before completing your transaction with us.

You can easily request them from the individual course or hotel websites. Where we act as agent this will mean that we have no contractual liability to you in respect of that product. However, we may still be liable to you if we have been negligent; we have misrepresented important information or have been in breach of any other relevant law. Having said this, whenever possible we will broker a satisfactory resolution for both you and the supplier.

On the other hand, for some products, we act as principal. This means that the contract for the product is between you and us.

 

OWNERSHIP AND HOW THE T&Cs APPLY

The owner of the web page(s) and other channels of customer interaction such as Facebook, You Tube etc. is the registered company “Mediterranean Golf Promotions Limited”, registered number 47919 with registered address at 12 Parliament Lane, Gibraltar.

The user accepts the full adhesion, expressly and without reservation, all and each one of the T&Cs published here by Med Golf at the moment that the user accesses the site (or other customer interface), especially when including his personal data and the limitation of responsibility of any supplier of services hired by Med Golf.

These T&Cs apply to any and all of the websites and social media platforms (such as Facebook) owned and/or used by Med Golf.

If you continue to browse and use this website you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by these T&Cs of use, which together with our privacy policy govern Med Golf’s relationship with you in relation to this website and other customer interfaces.

 

GENERAL POINTS

The term ’Mediterranean Golf Promotions Ltd’ or ‘Med Golf’ or ‘teetimespain.com’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ or ‘our’ refers to the owner of the website(s) or other channel of interaction. The term ‘you’ refers to the client, customer, user or viewer of the website(s).

The use of our website(s) and other customer interfaces is subject to the following terms of use:

• The content of the pages of this website is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice.
• Neither we nor any third parties provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on this website(s) for any particular purpose. You acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.
• Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements.

• You may not create a link to this website(s) from another website or document without Med Golf’s prior written consent.
• Your use of this website and any dispute arising out of such use of the website is subject to the laws of Gibraltar.
• You declare that you have the legal capability to acquire the offered services through Med Golf. Bookings and payment imply acceptance of the conditions in accordance with current legislation and to the specific conditions agreed with the users by any travel wholesaler that organizes the combined trip.
• You undertake to us that the details you give to us while using our customer interfaces are correct in particular that the credit or debit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the product or service.
• If there are any changes to the details supplied to us by you it is your responsibility to inform us via our web form or by contacting our Customer Services as soon as possible.
• Several of our customer interfaces allow comments by you. Any comments deemed by us to be inappropriate or illegal will be removed and depending on the severity of the comments, will be notified to the relevant authorities.

 

BOOKING CONDITIONS

Med Golf reserves the right to alter any of the items within the programme. Alterations will never be of a lower category or value to the one contracted by the clients.

 

Golf Booking Conditions

Buggies

Buggies are subject to availability in each of the courses and their cost is not included in the packages unless specified so.

Handicaps

We cannot make or confirm reservations on behalf of clients without knowing their handicaps. All players must be in possession of their handicap certificates in the event that a course official may request them.

Prompt arrival

It is the responsibility of players to arrive punctually for their tee-time. Latecomers may not be allowed to play by course officials.

Footwear and dress codes

Soft spikes only are permitted on golf courses. Suitable golfing attire is compulsory; tailored shorts trousers or skirts with golf/polo shirt. Jeans and beachwear are strictly not permitted.

Certain courses may require long trousers for dining rooms and some may not allow spikes anywhere other than the locker rooms (even soft spikes).

For precise details on footwear and dress codes you should check each venues own policy. Usually found on their websites.

Refunds

Green fee refunds for reasons other than pre cancellation can only be made when golf vouchers are returned stamped by the courses with “CAMPO CERRADO / CLOSED COURSE”. Some courses may provide credit notes/vouchers instead of refunds.

 

Booking Payments

As Med Golf has to pre pay your fees to the golf courses or hotels, payment in full is required as soon as we inform you it is due. Any deposits must be paid at the time of booking.. Balance payments are usually due at least 1 month before the booked date. We will inform you of the date payment is required.

 

Payment options

Payment options are PAYPAL, VISA, MASTERCARD, ELECTRON and SWITCH.

Med Golf does not charge card handling fees.

Card payment is preferred but in certain circumstances BANK TRANSFER can be accepted. All bank transfers expenses will be at the clients cost and full payment is required at the time of booking. Please ad your comments in the ‘Notes’ section of the booking form if you require bank transfer as a means of payment and we will contact you with our bank details.

 

Cancellations

Tee bookings or trips can be cancelled at any time. Due to the nature of this service the client will receive full amount returned AFTER deducting the cancellation penalties applicable from each golf course, hotel or holiday package provider, penalties which may vary between providers. Med Golf will be obliged to deal and claim these refunds on the client’s behalf.

Med Golf will make refunds for green fees subject to each golf course specific conditions and will NOT include our own handling fees.

We will however make amendment/cancellation charges for hotel and holiday packages.

 

Hotels and Holidays Booking Conditions

Please note: Photo identification of the person whose name is on the booking must be provided when checking in.

 

Hotel Cancellations/Amendments

In the event that you would like to cancel or amend your hotel booking, the hotel’s cancellation policy will apply.

If you wish to cancel your reservation, it is your responsibility to notify Med Golf verbally or in writing AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND at least 48 hours prior to the expected check in date.

Med Golf applies an amendment fee of 20€ per booking for any modifications (other than additions to the booking, for example a longer stay r additional person), changes or cancellations to your reservation. This will be regardless of the price of your reservation. Any booking fees or credit card charges are non-refundable.

In addition to the Med Golf charges, most hotels may also have a penalty or cancellation fee for any changes or cancellations to reservations. This can be calculated from the date of amendment / cancellation to the date of arrival, alternatively one set fee. Customer Services will advise you if you decide to proceed with the changes.

In extreme personal circumstances completely out of your control, Med Golf will do everything it can to ensure your amendment or cancellation fees are as little as possible or even waived. This can be, but is not limited to, the passing away of one of the party prior to departure.

If you send us your cancellation in writing, cancellation is not immediate, Med Golf will respond to you within 24 hours of receipt of your email; usually well within this timeframe. Please note that individual hotel cancellation policies can vary. Please take this 24 hour turnaround time into consideration when putting your cancellation in writing.

 

Additional booking points to consider

1. All hotel discounts advertised are based on the discounts from the full “rack rate” including VAT and are correct at the time the offers are first advertised. However, please note that some hotels in other countries may also charge local or other taxes, which may not be included in the offer.
2. “Rack rate” is the rate published by a hotel which is the maximum it will charge for any room.
3. Please be aware that the hotel or golf course photos are only a depiction of the type of rooms on offer or a representation of the course layout and may not represent the actual room described or the current layout of the hole featured.
4. Unless otherwise stated, breakfast, lunch and dinner are not included
5. Star ratings may differ according to the country where the hotel is located and are out of the control of Med Golf. Therefore Med Golf cannot be held responsible for any misconceptions relating to star ratings.
6. Please note hotel room advertisements displayed on the website(s) of Med Golf may have room rates identified in the local currency, or any other currency as requested by the specific hotel supplier. Unless stated otherwise, at the time of final payment, the room rate you will be charged by the hotel shall be as expressed in the local currency (or in any other currency as determined by the hotel) and not necessarily in GBP sterling. Please be aware any subsequent conversion of the local currency to GBP sterling by the hotel on your behalf will be at the rate set that day and may differ from your original GBP sterling calculation.
7. Whilst every effort has been made to ensure accuracy and availability, some errors might still occur. Once aware of such incidents we will make all reasonable effort to advise you within 48 business hours of the booking being made. We reserve the right to cancel the reservation and refund all monies paid, but this of course will be without any liability to you.
8. In the unlikely event of the supplier cancelling or amending your reservation after the booking has been made, we will make all reasonable effort to advise you as soon as possible. Should the supplier be unable to fulfil your hotel reservation, you will have the choice of accepting an offered alternative or cancelling your reservation with a full refund of all monies paid. In cases where the supplier is unable to provide an alternative, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation with a full refund.
9. Credit card companies charge us a fee when you pay with their cards and therefore a credit card fee is applied to some travel bookings made with Visa or Mastercard credit cards. Currently, credit card fees are charged on hotel packages and hotel bookings.

 

Booking errors

Our systems will not stop you from making impossible bookings such as two flights to the same place at the same time or a flight to one place and tee booking to another place at the same time. If you make that kind of booking we cannot give you a refund.

We will do our best to correct errors and omissions as quickly as practicable after being notified of them. However because of the sophisticated technology that is required in operating Med Golf there may be times when obvious errors occur. For example, very occasionally, this may result in a price, product or service or other detail displayed or presented being incorrect. In this case we reserve the right to cancel that contract, but this of course will be without any liability to you.

 

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Please note that the sale of travel insurance on the Med Golf website is subject to T&Cs, which are accessible during the booking process. You can contact customer services with any insurance queries.

 

PRIVACY

Privacy and Data Protection policy

• This privacy policy sets out how Med Golf uses and protects any information that you give us when you use this website.

• Med Golf is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using the website(s) you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
• Med Golf may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 01/10/2011.

What we collect

• We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online
• Med Golf does not make any warranty that the website(s), or other customer interfaces and third party links are free from infection by viruses or anything else that has contaminating or destructive properties.

How we use cookies

• A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual.
